Warriors will train retired NBA guards
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, former NBA guard Darren Collison will play for the Golden State Warriors this week.
The Warriors will have to give up one of their non-guaranteed contracts to make room for the eventual signing of Collison.
The three players currently on non-guaranteed contracts include Damien Lee, Michal Mudd and Gary Payton II.
The last time Collison played 76 games for the Indiana Pacers was in the 2018-19 season. He averaged 11.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
The 34-year-old player subsequently withdrew from the game due to family and religious reasons.
There are rumors that Collison is interested in teams including the team Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers with Philadelphia 76ers Before the 2019-20 season was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
