WNBA released COVID-19 test results, 7 players tested positive, delayed arrival of fever at Bradenton Hoopfeed.com
Between June 28 and July 5, 137 athletes were tested, followed by 7 WNBA athletes who tested positive for coronavirus. Two of the athletes came from Indiana with a fever. Therefore, Fanaticism will delay the team’s departure from Bradenton, Florida, where it will begin its 22-game WNBA season at the IMG Academy later this month.
Any player with a positive test result will remain in self-isolation until she meets the requirements of the public health agreement to suspend isolation and is approved by the doctor.
Players and staff from 11 of the 12 WNBA teams will arrive at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida today. Due to the close contact with the Center for Disease Control and Self-Quarantine requirements, Indiana fever will delay travel at least five days with caution.
